Make a Difference
Day is celebrated each October in Summit County. On this day, hundreds of volunteers will join together with the common
purpose of giving back to our community by providing local non-profits and
agencies with free volunteer service. Volunteer projects will range from
building trails to stuffing envelopes to painting murals – whatever the need
may be.
A Special Thanks! -- To the hundreds of
volunteers who participated in last year's event and helped to make it such a
success. We look forward to seeing you again this year.

CALLING ALL
NON-PROFITS!!
Shaping Our Summit invites all Summit
County non-profits to register as an official site for this year's Make a Difference Day.
Site
projects last year ranged from painting and landscaping, to cleaning and office
work. If you have an interesting
project for your organization we’d love to do it! This event will provide the man and womanpower to your
organization for the whole day! The
more complex and fun the project the better.
We want to make this work fun for our volunteers as well.
Your
responsibility is to provide the project, the tools and supplies, and a contact
person for the day of the event. In order for us to plan for the best quality
at all of this year's sites we need to have them all planned well ahead of
time! To register as an official project site, contact Jake Quigley at
668-4153, or by email at danielq@co.summit.co.us. For further information on Make a Difference
Day call Tara Eaton at 668-4155.
