BRECKENRIDGE SKI RESORT’S "SLIDE THE SUMMIT"

This annual benefit for Shaping Our Summit takes place each June at Breckenridge Ski Area's Peak 8 Fun Park. Below is an excerpt from a press release from the June 2000 fund-raiser and community day. Check this website in May and June for details about the 2001 event.

"On June 24th, 2000, 650 smiling slide-goers participated in Breckenridge Ski Resort’s 2nd Annual Slide the Summit benefiting Shaping Our Summit – a division of the Meridian Institute. Both locals and summer visitors took advantage of the once a summer, unmatched rates offered by Breckenridge Ski Resort. Included in the low price were unlimited rides on the Alpine Super Slide, unlimited rounds of Mini Golf, unlimited chances at getting lost in the A’Mazing Maze, and an outdoor BBQ. A two-year participant leaving Peak 8 after Slide the Summit 2000 had this to say, 'For those of you who missed the once a summer special, mark a reminder for next year’s calendar, this event just keeps on getting better!!'”
